Elon Musk’s SpaceX has launched about 1,000 satellites and owns about one third of the active satellites in space. SpaceX states its satellite clusters will bring high-speed internet to every corner of the globe and has received $885.5 million in federal subsidies to provide internet to rural areas in the US.
